One of my friends recently spent a couple months in California. Somehow, he got on the MTV show, Parental Control. In case you’re not familiar, this is the one where the parents are unhappy with their daughter’s boyfriend, because he is a d-bag and says completely inappropriate things that (I’m convinced) no one would actually say to their significant other’s parents. The parents interview a group of guys and choose two for their daughter to go on a date with.
My friend was with in the group waiting to be interviewed, and the producer told them that the parents would ask them to make up a poem, so they should start thinking of it now. He is from Kentucky and has a very strong Southern accent, so he wanted to say something like, “I’m just an average guy from the South, and when your daughter is around, sweet words will always come out of my mouth.” What he actually said when he got in front of the parents and cameras was, “I’m just a guy from the South, and when your daughter is around, I’m good with my mouth.”
He was not invited on the date.
