So, here’s the deal. A large portion of the students at my school are the über-conservative, home-schooled, my-favorite-movie-is-Facing-the-Giants type. Sometimes I feel like I accidently corrupt their sweet little souls. For example:
I was talking to a girl and she asked me what kind of music I like. She told me she listens to “Christian rock” and “whatever is on the local Christian music station.” I mumbled something about Ben Folds, and she seemed pretty interested. She told me that she would definitely look him up, and even wrote down his name to make sure she spelled it right. Now that I think about it, I’m positive the first song that will pop up is Bitches Ain’t Shit.
Perhaps a day later, another girl I met asked me what my favorite movie is. I impulsively said, Anchorman. She was not familiar with it, but she might check it out. She said she loves Disney movies, especially The Lion King, which is fine, but very different from Anchorman.
